Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2026

This privacy statement for Madhalla ApS ("we," "us," or "our") describes our policies and practices for the Surd mobile application (the "Services").

Our core principle is simple: The Surd app does not collect any personal information or data of any kind from you. The app is designed to be a completely private, offline tool for managing your tasks and lists.

By reading this privacy statement, you will understand your privacy rights. If you disagree with our policies, please refrain from using our Services.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at contact@surd.app

1. What information do we collect?

The Surd application does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from you. The app does not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising tools. All actions, preferences, and data — such as your tasks, lists, and layout settings — are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to any server.

If you choose to contact us directly for support via email, we will have access to the email address you use, which we will use solely to respond to your inquiry.

2. Children's privacy

Surd is suitable for all ages, including children. We are committed to protecting children's privacy.

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age (in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, COPPA), or the relevant age of consent in your region (in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR). The Surd app does not contain forms, chat features, or other interactive features that allow users to submit personal information.

3. How do we process and share your information?

Since the Surd application does not collect your personal information, we have no information to process or share.

We may share or transfer information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company. This is a standard legal clause; however, since we do not collect user data, there is no personal user data to be transferred in such a situation.

4. How do we keep your information secure?

We aim to protect your personal information through a system of organizational and technical security measures. However, despite our safeguards, no electronic transmission or information storage method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

Any information you choose to share directly with us (for example, via email) is sent at your own risk.

5. What are your privacy rights?

Since the app does not collect personal data, rights related to accessing, modifying, or deleting your data do not apply to the use of the app itself.

In some regions (such as the EEA, UK, and Canada), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. If you are located in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing personal information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

6. Controls for Do-Not-Track features

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") feature. Since we do not collect or track personal information, these settings do not apply to Surd.

7. Do we update this notice?

Yes, we will update this notice as necessary to remain compliant with relevant laws. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this privacy statement regularly.

8. How can you contact us about this notice?

If you have any questions or comments about this notice, you can send us an email at contact@surd.app
